What a month in a Model 3 actually costs in Vojvodina

Stefan Vuković · 9 May 2026

We ran the numbers with a customer who does 3,000 km a month of client visits. Electricity, tolls, the lot — against his own diesel.

Dejan does the Novi Sad – Subotica – Sombor triangle most weeks. Three thousand kilometres a month, mostly motorway, sometimes with a passenger.

The monthly rate on the Model 3 is €71 a day after the 25% long-rental discount, which is €1,988 for 28 days including the zero-excess insurance he takes.

Charging: 3,000 km at roughly 16 kWh/100 km is 480 kWh. At home-rate overnight charging that is about €58. On the road at fast chargers it would be closer to €140. He mixes, and lands near €90.

His own car — a 2019 diesel estate — does 6.2 l/100 km on the same route. That is 186 litres, about €340 at current pump prices, plus the servicing he stops paying for while the car sits at home.

The honest conclusion: the rental is not cheaper than owning a paid-off car. It is cheaper than owning a car with a loan on it, and it removes the depreciation, the servicing, the winter tyres and the replacement-car problem entirely. For a business that bills the mileage anyway, it is a straightforward win.
